Position Overview The Collective Training Analyst supports mission readiness by designing, developing, and executing advanced scenario‑based training activities aligned with USSTRATCOM's strategic mission areas. This role requires demonstrated expertise in
USSTRATCOM
‑assigned UCP mission sets, command‑and‑control procedures, and operational processes spanning national‑level decision-making through unit‑level execution. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, administer, and execute scenario‑based training modules that enhance readiness across collective training environments.
- Apply thorough understanding of
USSTRATCOM
‑assigned UCP mission sets, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and
USSTRATCOM
Emergency Action Procedures (EAP), and/or end‑to‑end operational processes supporting strategic and tactical decision-making.
- Integrate operational insight into training design, exercise development, and training assessments.
- Provide expertise in command center operations and battle staff functions in support of mission training requirements.
- Prepare training materials, analytical products, evaluations, and after-action reports to improve future training cycles.
- Coordinate across Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, and Service MAJCOMs to ensure training realism, operational accuracy, and alignment with strategic directives. Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding-through positions held or qualification summary-of
USSTRATCOM
‑assigned UCP mission sets;
CJCS/USSTRATCOM
EAPs; and/or complete operational processes from national-level decision-making through unit-level execution.
- Experience in developing, administering, and executing scenario‑based training modules.
- Operational experience at a Combatant Command (CCMD), Joint Staff, or Service Major Command (MAJCOM), including command center or battle staff duties.
- Candidates must individually have a minimum of 7 years of experience in at least one of the following mission areas: Strategic Deterrence Nuclear Operations (including
USSTRATCOM C2
platforms and
CJCS/USSTRATCOM
EAPs) Global Strike Nuclear Force Planning Missile Threat Assessment Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting joint or combined command‑and‑control operations.
- Strong analytical, communication, and briefing skills.
- Ability to collaborate with senior leaders and cross‑organizational mission partners.
- Experience contributing to operational planning, wargaming, or higher‑level exercise events.
