  • $100,000 a year About the Role We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to bridge the gap between technical understanding and customer success.
In this role, there is no cold calling. Instead, you will focus on turning inbound interest into action. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for prospects, helping them identify the right technical solutions, preparing accurate quotes, and guiding them through the sales process to build long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities Relationship Management:
Nurture early-stage leads and move them through the sales pipeline while supporting account development for key OEM prospects.
Inbound Lead Response:
Act as the first point of contact for inquiries, providing expert product guidance and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Quoting & Documentation:
Generate accurate and timely quotes based on customer requirements and maintain detailed records in the CRM.
Travel & Trade Shows:
Travel (25
  • 50%) to attend industry trade shows and visit customer facilities for introductions and follow-on meetings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with engineering, marketing, and production teams to ensure smooth handoffs and share customer feedback for continuous improvement.
Requirements & Skills Technical Aptitude:
A moderate level of technical product knowledge and the ability to understand complex industrial applications.
Communication Excellence:
High emotional intelligence with proven verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Problem-Solving:
Demonstrated ability to gather information accurately and solve customer challenges with empathy and persistence.
Software Proficiency:
Competent in Google Workspace, MS Office, and sales automation/CRM applications.
Travel Readiness:
Ability to travel for extended periods (estimated at one week per month on average).
Physical Ability:
