We are seeking qualified development staff to join our program between the hours of 3:00pm and 6:00, Monday through Friday at one of our local elementary schools. The ideal candidates will have a high interest (or background) in caring for children while possessing the necessary organizational and leadership skills necessary to implement a safe and fun program. This job opportunity includes supervising and engaging students in fun activities, helping setup and clean up each day, leading enrichment type activities, respectfully and professionally solving problems and de-escalating situations. It does require the ability to be aware of safety/conflicts/potential problems in a fast paced environment of Kindergarten through 5th grade members. Previous experience is

3pm to 6pm •Job Description• Supervise, monitor, and account for children at all times. Scan the program area often and listen for any potential issues. Assist with homework completion. Facilitate group activities by participating in games and gym activities to involve and engage members. Assist with cleaning of program areas before and after snack time. Assist with distribution of snacks/clean-up. Put away all games, equipment and materials after use. Report all incidents and accidents immediately to supervisor. Establish appropriate boundaries and communication with children; "Listen and Guide" not "Shout and Punish". Encourage members often with positive reinforcement, using kind language, and smiling! Work cooperatively and respectfully with staff. Report to your work site on time and as per schedule.
