NE03 Position Summary An Instructional Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to educators and students in educational institutions. This position assists in the setup and maintenance of instructional technology, troubleshoots technical issues, and provides training and guidance on the use of educational tools and software. Instructional Support Technicians assist in the development and implementation of instructional materials and resources. Duties & Responsibilities Hire, supervise and schedule workstudy/student employees Enforce safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in laboratories. Set up and maintain advanced equipment for experiments. Manage inventory, including ordering, cataloging, and storing tools and equipment. Monitor and manage lab budgets, including research and procurement proposals. Ensure availability of materials for instructors and assist in demonstrations. Guide students in safe equipment usage and troubleshoot equipment issues. Assist instructors in evaluations, conduct lab tours, and ensure safety compliance. Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements. Provide technical support for computers, software, and related equipment. Support students in reviewing course material and problem-solving. Foster a supportive and cordial learning environment. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or
GED. AND
Successful completion of post-secondary coursework or industry endorsed courses in discipline or related field.
Preferences:
Knowledge with Film Industry Equipment Experience with the use of power tools, hand tools and lifting equipment. OSHA 10 Certification or obtain OSHA certification NM Drivers License and have a clean driving record Forklift experience and able to obtain CNM Forklift certification.
