JOB SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support HOPES leadership and organization by posting approved requisitions, sourcing applicants, screening applicants, and organizing interviews. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting & staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the HOPES Organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process for the organization. Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. Assists with job posting and advertisement processes. Screens applications and selects qualified candidates for hiring team to interview. Counsels candidates on the interview and hiring process. Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials. Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details. Follows up with hiring managers after the interview process to determine whether a hire can be made; collects feedback when hire is unsuccessful. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies. Attends job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities. Completes recruitment communication with appropriate regrets to those candidates not chosen. Engages in committees, groups, and think tanks to identify Employee Value Proposition, organizational and role specific competencies and other information valuable to the recruiting process. Lays the foundation for diversity and inclusion hiring to ensure the highest level of diversity within the work force. Provides routine audits and maintenance to ensure accurate complete information. Creates reports to provide data for various initiatives. Engages in reporting, surveys and dissemination of information as appropriate. Ensures alignment with bestpractices in human resources management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Business Administration, or a related field required. Proven experience in a similar role may be substituted for a degree. Experience in adult training and development, teaching, organizational development, facilitation, instructional design, elearning, and/or human resources is required. Healthcare setting experience preferred. Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar programs required. Strong organizational skills and proven ability to effectively prioritize overlapping tasks/projects required. Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to effectively work with a wide range of stakeholders required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Strong research and critical evaluation skills required. Strong presentation and public speaking skills preferred. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) including content authoring and platform administration preferred. Proficiency with Canva or similar program(s) for graphic design and video/photo editing preferred. Experience with multiline phone systems, copiers, fax machines, and scanners preferred. PHR/SPHR or
