Job Description

National Fuel is currently seeking a Field Operations Technical Trainer for an outstanding career opportunity in the Mechanical department located at our Operations hub in West Seneca, NY. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the administration of Operator Qualifications (OQs) by delivering initial and refresher training, coordinating qualification schedules, and conducting covered task evaluations for Field Operations personnel Develop, maintain, and improve practical training materials, including presentations, handouts, equipment demonstrations, and hands-on instructional tools or resources Prepare training environments by ensuring classroom setup, equipment functionality, and availability of necessary materials, tools, and resources Use real-world mechanical or field experience to explain concepts, demonstrate safe work practices, and reinforce procedures, protocols, and lessons learned Communicate technical material clearly and adapt explanations for different learning styles to help employees understand and apply mechanical and operational requirements Follow-up with class participants in the field, and at job locations, to reinforce procedures and concepts
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree plus experience in supervisory field operations, mechanical, construction, utility, or skilled trades role Experience teaching, training, or explaining technical information in a classroom, lab, or field setting Current Operator Qualification status, or willingness to complete the required training and qualifications through National Fuel Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to communicate clearly with groups Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree with a focus in construction management, engineering technology, or process management Prior experience in an operational capacity with related qualifications within the natural gas industry

PA. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary range for this position is $62,500 - $67,000. This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
