This is a hands-on training role for someone who is comfortable standing in front of groups, teaching adult learners, clearly explaining policies and procedures, answering questions, and keeping caregivers engaged. The position also includes the documentation and compliance work necessary to ensure required orientation and training are properly completed and recorded. What You Will Do
  • Facilitate pre-employment orientation for ready to be hired PCAs and HCSS caregivers from beginning to end.
  • Present agency policies, caregiver responsibilities, workplace expectations, safety standards, confidentiality requirements, attendance and scheduling expectations.
  • Facilitate discussions, answer caregiver questions, administer tests or competency assessments, and verify training completion.
  • Coordinate orientation activities with HR, nursing, operations, and other agency staff.
  • Collect required signatures, training acknowledgments, tests, and other onboarding documentation.
  • Maintain accurate training and education records in accordance with agency policy.
  • Track certifications, required training, outstanding documents, and continuing education requirements periodically.
  • Maintain the caregiver orientation calendar and communicate upcoming training needs to appropriate staff.
  • Assist with creating, updating, and improving training presentations, handouts, and educational materials, with training and support provided as needed.
  • Help the agency continuously improve the caregiver onboarding experience so training is practical, organized, professional, and easy to understand. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong public-speaking, presentation, classroom facilitation skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comply with agencies documentation policies.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working for a home care agency.
  • Experience conducting orientation or training.
  • Experience using different digital platforms for HR, scheduling, etc
Pay:
