Professional Land Surveyor Infrastructure & Site Development

Job Description:

ZOFS Engineering & Land Surveying, P.C. is seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor to support a range of infrastructure and site development projects throughout New York. This role involves a combination of field oversight and office-based survey coordination, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, quality control, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and perform boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys for active projects Execute survey calculations, including coordinate geometry (COGO) and layout computations Supervise field crews and manage day-to-day survey operations Interpret civil and structural drawings to support field activities and project deliverables Prepare survey maps, drawings, and supporting documentation using industry-standard software Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project requirements Maintain compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and safety regulations

Qualifications:

Active New York State Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required Demonstrated experience in boundary analysis, construction layout, and survey computations Proficiency in surveying software such as Carlson, AutoCAD, or similar platforms Strong ability to interpret construction plans and technical documents Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed About the

$85.00 - $105.00 per hour
