Summary:

We are seeking a passionate trainer Dutchess County, to join our team at The Arc Greater Hudson Valley, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff. This position is vital in ensuring that our employees are well-prepared to provide the highest quality of service to those we support.

Responsibilities:

Conduct hands-on, agency/site specific training for staff at all levels of the organization. Participate in reviewing and revising new-employee orientation and in-service training programs on an ongoing basis for continual improvement. This includes conducting new hire orientation, and annual recerts. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations related to Agency training. Update/maintain electronic training platform and records. Required /

Skills:

Proven experience in instructional design or training facilitation. Strong mentoring skills with a passion for developing others. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and individuals. Flexible to training needs

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred. Familiarity with services and supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Strong communication skills. Experience with curriculum development and training. Valid driver's license with one year driving experience. Completion of all required agency training, including orientation, First Aid/CPR, and any electronic health record-specific certifications. Must pass background checks and meet any required certifications or training. Proficient in computer use including Microsoft office, power point, excel and word.
