This role involves assisting with the training and certification process for aspiring nursing assistants, ensuring they are well-prepared to provide quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with geriatric patients, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. CNA/STNA

training classes, including classroom instruction and practical skills demonstrations. Support students in understanding core concepts such as patient care, nursing procedures, and medical terminology relevant to long-term care. Observe and evaluate student performance during clinical practice, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Ensure compliance with state certification requirements and maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance. Help coordinate CPR training sessions and ensure students meet all necessary certifications for patient safety. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and uphold privacy standards in accordance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with instructors and staff to create a supportive learning environment tailored to the needs of geriatric patients. Support the overall training program by preparing educational materials and assisting with logistical tasks as needed. Experience Prior experience working in a long-term care facility or similar healthcare environment is preferred. Hands-on patient care experience, especially with geriatric populations, is highly desirable. Knowledge of nursing practices, medical terminology, and basic patient care procedures is essential. Certification or training in CPR is required or must be obtained during the internship period. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, patients, and healthcare professionals are necessary. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare standards is critical for success in this role.

Pay:

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 75.0 - 80.0 per week
