Klamath Basin Behavioral Health (KBBH) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Development Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on enhancing the mental health and emotional well-being of children and adolescents within our community. As a vital part of our organization, you'll work in a supportive environment aimed at fostering healthy, resilient young individuals through innovative and therapeutic practices. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging programs that promote positive mental health and emotional growth for youth. Conduct individual and group sessions using evidence-based techniques to assist young clients in overcoming mental health challenges. Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to create a supportive network that facilitates holistic development. Assess the needs of youths and plan appropriate therapeutic interventions. Maintain comprehensive documentation and records of client progress and adjustments to care plans. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in youth mental health services. Required Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with children and their families. Experience with behavior management techniques and crisis intervention. Ability to design and implement creative and therapeutic programs suitable for youths. Proficiency in maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
