The Field Product Advisor serves the Portland, Oregon area as a key post-sale resource supporting our top pool professionals and driving field performance. This role delivers expert-level products and technical support with collaboration with Sales, Warranty, Regional Support Partners, and Training Leadership. It is responsible for managing technical relationships, supporting in-field education efforts, and ensuring consistent application of product knowledge and installation best practices. This position reports to the Regional Technical Supervisor and plays a pivotal role in strengthening customer confidence, accelerating adoption, and reinforcing quality through trusted field presence. Key Responsibilities Deliver on-site and virtual technical support in partnership with Sales, Warranty, Support, and Regional Technical Supervisors, ensuring timely and accurate field guidance Facilitate product training and live demonstrations at customer locations, distributor branches, regional training events, and trade shows, supporting national training governance standards Support product launches by assisting with field validation, warranty readiness, and feedback loops to Product and Engineering teams Build and manage relationships with third party service partners, reinforcing product performance and adhere to Pentair standards Act as a field liaison between Sales, Product Management, Customer Support, and Training & Education Gather and share actionable insights from the field to improve training content, warranty analysis, and product updates Travel required up to 70 % depending on region and event activity Qualifications 5+ years of experience in technical support, product training, or field service within a manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts Demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate with third-party service providers
Preferred:
background in pool equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or similar trades , bachelor's degree
Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $71000- $131800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
