- Position Summary
- The Maintenance AI Technology Training Specialist is responsible for developing, delivering and continuously improving enterprise-wide training programs that accelerate adoption of digital maintenance tools, mobile technology and AI-supported troubleshooting across Newell Brands manufacturing sites globally.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Design & Adult Learning
- + Design, develop and maintain a structured maintenance digitization curriculum — including course outlines, learning objectives, assessments and job aids — grounded in adult learning principles (e.
- Training Delivery — In Person & Remote
- + Deliver instructor-led training on-site at manufacturing facilities globally, including hands-on, shift-integrated coaching sessions.
- Global Travel & Site Support
- + Travel globally (estimated 50% annually) to support site deployments, conduct in-person training and assess adoption health — including travel internationally as the program expands.
- Digital & AI Tool Enablement
- + Train maintenance teams on tablets, mobile devices, CMMS platforms, digital work order workflows and AI-supported diagnostic tools, including image-based troubleshooting.
- Adoption Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- + Define and track leading training indicators — learner completion, assessment scores, tool utilization rates and work order quality metrics — to demonstrate training effectiveness.
Qualifications:

Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school credential strongly preferred. +
Required:
- 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with demonstrated proficiency in equipment troubleshooting and end-to-end maintenance processes. +
Required:
- 2+ years of experience training or teaching adult learners in a manufacturing, technical or industrial setting — including development of training materials and facilitation of structured learning sessions. +
Required:
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing training curricula or instructional programs specifically designed for adult learners (e.g., competency-based training, on-the-job training frameworks, blended learning programs).
- Delivery & Communication Skills
- + Proven ability to deliver effective instruction both in person on the plant floor and via remote/virtual platform.
- Technical & Digital Proficiency
- + Proficiency with tablets, mobile devices and standard productivity applications; ability to quickly learn and teach new digital tools. + Familiarity with AI-enabled diagnostic tools or strong aptitude and curiosity for rapidly adopting emerging technologies.
- Travel & Mobility
- + Ability and willingness to travel globally — approximately 50% annually — to manufacturing sites across North America and internationally as the program expands. + Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
- Leadership & Professional Capabilities
- + Proven track record of driving change in a peer or coaching capacity — influencing adoption without formal authority.
