As a Member Development Specialist, you will enhance member relationships by offering Sunmark's products and services, via outbound calling, to members and non-members. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30-5pm with occasional Saturday, as needed. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule after training period, up to 2 days/week, upon management approval. Starting pay for this position is $70-77k based on experience. Cultivate, develop, and maintain relationships with members by offering information regarding credit union services and programs, to increase product penetration and loan portfolio. Seeks to attain established goals on key products as assigned. Consult with applicants on the various credit union products and services. Assist the applicant to choose the products and services best suited for them. Interviews member and loan applicants informing them of current rates, policy requirements, and the lending services offered by the credit union. Ensures account and loan applications are properly completed. Identify and solicit opportunities to build relationships. Leverage these opportunities with a goal of increasing products per member within your book of business. Use credit bureau reports and other types of reports with the intent of maximizing member relationships and cross sell opportunities. Coordinate with the call center staff to ensure proper loan and account funding and documentation, and resolve any member service issues while ensuring compliance guidelines. Assist Credit Manager in creating and maintaining a sales culture. Provides Wow! Service in each interaction. Opens various types of accounts; accepts applications for membership and ensures all necessary signatures are obtained. Maintains records and reports to supervisor as requested. Candidates should have a high school diploma/GED equivalent or higher with a minimum of 1-year banking or demonstrated sales and relationship ability experience. Ability to have a professional and positive attitude. Strong attention to detail, computer proficiency to multitask within a busy lending center.
