Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and emotional well-being. Manage classroom or activity spaces effectively, ensuring safety and positive behavior management at all times. Provide guidance and support to children during daily routines, including meal times, rest periods, and transitions. Utilize first aid skills to respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies, ensuring the safety of all participants. Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive programs tailored for children with special education needs or behavioral challenges. Foster a respectful and encouraging environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, and self-esteem. Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress notes, and incident reports as required for program compliance. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or after-school programs is highly preferred. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus. Excellent communication skills to engage children, parents, and team members positively. Ability to adapt activities for children with varying needs and learning styles.
