JOB SUMMARY A
professional registered nurse responsible for assisting the Director of Education and Professional Development in the management of the Department of Education and Professional Development; its employees and responsibilities. Responsibilities and accountabilities include but are not limited to: development and delivery of quality training and education to all levels of employees at HMC based on current standards of care; policies and procedures; and governing agencies; development and coordination of annual competencies; development; implementation; evaluation and modification of course curriculum; and review and management of course evaluations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education Bachelors in the Science of Nursing (BSN) Master's degree preferred Minimum Work Experience 4 years clinical experience Required Licenses/Certifications Registered nurse (RN) in the state of Texas American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor within 6 months of hire to department Specialty certification within 3 years of hire as approved by Director Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities Demonstrates a commitment to quality education as a methodology for promoting continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care and services Present educational information in a professional manner Organizes and completes educational records according to facility and governing agency requirements Develops; reviews; and modified course curriculum and course schedules Designated Driver No OSHA Category 2 - Medium Risk Save job Apply now
