General Summary:
The Counseling and Developmental Specialist I, under general supervision, provides academic skills, academic coaching and other services to students in individual and group formats.
Responsibilities:
Oversee case management related activities to include maintenance of records, making of appropriate referrals, management of Active Minds chapter, and coordination of integrated care between student counseling, student medical, and psychiatric services. Consults with students, faculty members and staff members about students who evidence problems that require academic and/or developmental skill assistance. Serve as representative at weekly Behavioral Intervention Team meetings for Health and Wellness departments. Create and distribute targeted social media content for Health and Wellness departments. Maintains 100% compliance with timely completion of required System, University and job-specific online training courses. Necessary Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of word procession and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of community and university resources.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree. Two (2) years of related experience.
