This role offers a unique opportunity to build and shape training programs from the ground up , as no formal training structure currently exists. The Training Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving training initiatives that support employee performance, engagement, and organizational goals. What You'll Do Develop and implement a comprehensive training program across all departments, including onboarding, job-specific training, and ongoing development Design training materials such as manuals, guides, job aids, and interactive learning tools Lead new employee orientation and ensure a strong onboarding experience Conduct both individual and group training sessions, workshops, and hands-on learning opportunities Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, observation, and feedback, and make continuous improvements Partner with leadership to identify training needs and align programs with organizational priorities Track employee progress and maintain training records and reporting Assist in establishing training processes, standards, and best practices Support performance improvement efforts through targeted training solutions Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices in learning and development What We're Looking For 3-5 years of related experience in training, development, or a similar role Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant certifications Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences Ability to work independently and take initiative in a role with high ownership and accountability Creative thinker with strong organizational and project management skills Comfortable using technology and learning systems to support training delivery Ability to build relationships and collaborate across departments with professionalism and discretion Our Culture At Sabine Federal Credit Union, we are committed to developing our people, supporting our communities, and delivering exceptional service to our members.
