Job Description
About Us At Pistokache Gym, we're home to the RGV's #1-rated basketball training program. Our basketball training program serves players ages 8-18 who are tired of sitting the bench, tired of being overlooked, and ready to build the skills, confidence, and mental toughness needed to earn real minutes and dominate the game. We're not a babysitting program. We're not here to "keep kids active" or put them through random drills for fun. We're a professional, high-level player development system where athletes come to unlock their full potential and become the players God created them to be. About the Role We're looking for a high-level former athlete who has the experience, passion, and leadership to pour into our players. If you've played at a high level (college or professional preferred), love teaching the game, and can demonstrate elite-level footwork, IQ, and mechanics, you might be the one. This isn't a passive, walk-around-the-gym type job. You'll be in the trenches leading drills, correcting reps, and pushing kids to break through barriers in a way they've never experienced before. What You'll Do Coach and help lead group basketball training sessions Demonstrate drills with precision and energy Give real-time corrections, feedback, and encouragement Motivate athletes to show up consistently and perform with purpose Serve as a leader, mentor, and role model to every athlete in the gym Communicate clearly with parents and staff Help shape a culture of discipline, belief, and brotherhood What We're Looking For Basketball experience
