Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. Must Have Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; OR Master's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience. One of the following may be used as an equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: Apprentice School graduate Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate Associate's Degree or other formal 2-year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience, or other relevant exempt experience High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience, or other relevant non-exempt experience Nice to Have O26 or O67 training instructional experience and/or trade supervisory experience Knowledge of Training Processes (Scheduling, Facilitation, and Course Development) Ability to lead people and manage day-to-day tasks Maintain a high level of professionalism Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management About the Opportunity Join a team dedicated to building some of the world's most advanced naval vessels and defense technology solutions.
