We are seeking a local to Norfolk, VA, onsite, highly organized and customer-focused IT Training Coordinator to support ongoing training operations for a healthcare organization's legacy clinical and business systems while the organization transitions to a new enterprise EHR platform. This role will ensure new hires and existing employees transferring into new positions receive the appropriate legacy-system training, access, and compliance requirements throughout the implementation period. The Training Coordinator will provide hands-on classroom support on training days and manage training administration, scheduling, registration, access, and documentation on non-training days.
Classroom & Training Support
Coordinate and support approximately eight training classes per month for new hires and internal transfers
Prepare the dedicated training classroom prior to each session, including workstations, materials, and handouts
Assist participants with logins and basic access issues
Distribute training materials and serve as a classroom proctor
Support instructors and participants throughout each training session
Coordinate with onsite audiovisual resources when technical assistance is needed
Reset and organize the classroom following training
Training Administration & Coordination
Manage the training mailbox and respond to class registration, scheduling, and access requests
Process HR tickets associated with new hires
Manage internal IT tickets for employee transfers, access needs, training requirements, and compliance issues
Coordinate additional training and re-registration for employees who do not successfully complete required courses
Communicate directly with managers regarding training outcomes and required next steps
Maintain accurate training records, including registrations, schedules, completion status, pass/fail results, and upcoming training requirements
Update the LMS and internal intranet with class schedules, registration information, and training updates
Partner closely with HR to coordinate training requirements for new hires and internal transfers
Support scheduling, reporting, documentation, and other training-related administrative activities
Qualifications
Must be local to Norfolk, VA (surrounding area) and have the ability to work onsite
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, particularly email, calendar management, and scheduling
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; basic PowerPoint experience preferred
Previous experience in training coordination, administrative support, learning and development, HR coordination, or a similar role preferred
Healthcare experience is helpful but not required
Previous LMS, HRIS, or EHR experience is not required; training will be provided on the organization's systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests simultaneously
Strong customer service mindset and willingness to assist employees, managers, and trainers
Reliable and dependable with the ability to work onsite Monday through Friday
