Approximately 1,000 hours annually About the Position Monneus Group LLC is seeking a Fire Operations Training Consultant to support the U.S. Department of Energy, Hanford Field Office, Security and Emergency Services (SES) Division, under the Assistant Manager for Mission Support. Monneus Group is teaming with Salmon Group, Inc. on this effort. This is a part-time senior advisory role supporting the transition of fire and emergency response services at the Hanford Site. You will develop training, validate response capability through exercises and performance testing, advise on transition plans and interagency agreements, and support Government oversight of the Hanford Fire Department during the transition. Responsibilities Develop and deliver training supporting the transition of fire service activities Develop exercises, performance tests, and surveillances to validate capabilities supporting fire service transition with other fire department agencies Ensure compliance with training programs for fire department personnel covering firefighting equipment and techniques, rescue work, first aid, EOC activation, and paramedical activities Provide input and advice on developing, negotiating, and managing fire service transition plans, agreements, and contracts Help establish strategies and procedures for emergency services planning, accounting for potential toxic and hazardous materials, including support from outside fire agencies Validate fire service transition activities by applying National Fire Protection Association standards, policies, and fire department work practices to evaluate contractor and outside agency emergency response services Review and assist with performance testing and drills, and provide exercise support to fire agencies Assist with oversight of the Hanford Fire Department during the transition of fire and emergency response services Ensure lessons learned from federal oversight and internal contractor processes are incorporated into plans and operating procedures Assist with oversight of contractor emergency preparedness and management programs Review firefighting apparatus acquisition specifications and requirements as needed Minimum Qualifications 10 years of Hanford Site fire and emergency response experience Subject matter expert level incident command experience in technical rescue, including high angle and confined space, hazardous materials response including radiological events, wildland fire interface, and activation and use of the Hanford Emergency Operations Center Detailed knowledge of Hanford facilities, land, and hazards Experience providing training to firefighters U.S. citizenship Preferred Qualifications Incident command level experience with structural, wildland, and hazardous material firefighting techniques Incident command level experience managing events requiring Hanford EOC activation Expertise in the National Incident Management System, including Incident Command System practice and use in firefighting Expertise in firefighting personal protective equipment EMT and/or Paramedic qualifications and performance standards expertise Strong verbal and written communication skills
