Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS), including loading and assigning courses, managing online learning, creating and maintaining individual learning plans, and coordinating registration and scheduling for instructor-led training. Assist new hires in navigating and completing online training programs. Utilize Caterpillar's Learning Marketplace to identify relevant training opportunities for employees. Develop and maintain training curricula to support employee development across the organization. Design and develop online and in-person training programs, materials, and content. Support the Dealer Performance Center (DPC) by assisting employees with registration and resolving technical issues. Collaborate with the Training and Development Manager and trainers to schedule classes, prepare materials, register technicians, and complete follow-up activities. Assist in developing and maintaining training communications through platforms such as UKG and other electronic systems to ensure awareness of training opportunities and updates. Support trainers in maintaining and enhancing instructional materials for classroom use. Coordinate and track safety and compliance training to ensure employees meet regulatory and customer site requirements. Manage logistics for instructor-led training, including accommodations, meals, supplies, and room setup. Maintain the training calendar and schedules, ensuring proper room reservations and coordination within the Employee Services Department. Distribute company-wide training communications, including schedules, updates, and announcements. Research and coordinate external training opportunities based on organizational needs. Provide support to employees regarding training-related questions, including LMS usage, registration, and course access. Oversee and coordinate the State Training Grants program. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide reports to management. This includes analyzing outcomes to improve future training initiatives. Utilize the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and LMS to support managers and employees in accessing and using these systems. Maintain and care for company equipment assigned to the role and department. Support updates to the Employee Information Center (electronic bulletin board) as needed. Work effectively within a team environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Instructional Design, Psychology, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of education and experience—required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to coordinate and organize training initiatives across the department. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Comfortable with public speaking, preparing training materials, and delivering content to employees. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage short- and long-term goals. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision. Ability to collaborate across departments and work with leadership, employees, customers, and vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team.
PREFERRED
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Instructional Design, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Two years of professional experience. Experience in Training, Human Resources, or Employee Services.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Regular use of computers and office equipment, including HRIS and LMS platforms. Professional office environment requiring appropriate dress and appearance. Standard work schedule of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Up to 25% travel to other company locations may be required. Ability to use hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation. Ability to walk, sit for extended periods (5-7 hours), and navigate stairs. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate a company vehicle with a valid driver's license meeting company insurance standards.
