Kennel Assistant

Candidate should be available for morning shift; some weekends required. Employees receive a percentage of pooled tips in addition to hourly pay, plus time and a half for designated holidays. Overview In this energetic role, you will support daily kennel operations to ensure the well-being of dogs and cats in our care. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a safe, clean, and loving environment for pets. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels and perform general cleaning to promote a healthy and safe environment. Assist in animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, nail trims, and providing pets with physical activity and mental stimulation. Monitor animals' health status by observing behavior, eating habits, and physical condition; report any concerns promptly. Answer phones, process reservation requests, and help with check in and check out processes at the front desk, including documentation and client communication. Qualifications Prior kennel experience or animal care background preferred, but not required; familiarity with pet care routines is highly valued. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high standards of animal safety and hygiene. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with the owner/other staff and interact professionally with pet owners.
