Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and grooming expertise will shine! In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services to dogs of all breeds and sizes, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. Your skills in animal handling, pet care, and customer service will create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and comfortably using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure a stress-free experience Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall appearance to recommend appropriate grooming treatments Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming environment by disinfecting tools and work areas regularly Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling during grooming procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times Support additional pet care activities such as pet sitting or kennel duties when needed Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus for understanding canine behavior and health considerations Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain pets safely during grooming procedures Familiarity with pet grooming tools, equipment, and techniques for various breeds and coat types Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as large dogs or equipment safely and efficiently Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Prior kennel experience or animal handling background enhances suitability for this role Join us in delivering exceptional pet care through expert grooming!
