In this dynamic role, you will deliver top-tier grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our furry clients. Your expertise will ensure every dog leaves feeling pampered, comfortable, and looking their best. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of breeds and sizes, applying your grooming talents in a lively, supportive environment that values animal welfare and customer satisfaction. If you thrive on making pets look and feel fantastic while providing exceptional care, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, brushing, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs with patience and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process Assess each pet's coat condition and skin health, recommending appropriate grooming treatments or veterinary referrals when necessary Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, sterilizing tools and equipment after each use to uphold hygiene standards Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, special needs, or health concerns Assist with pet handling tasks such as animal restraint during procedures or examinations Support team members with additional animal care duties like feeding or kennel cleaning as needed Experience Proven experience as a professional dog groomer with a strong portfolio of grooming styles and techniques Familiarity with animal handling practices across different species including dogs and horses (equine experience is a plus) Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background demonstrating comfort with animal care routines Strong customer service skills to build trust and rapport with pet owners while providing expert advice on pet grooming and care Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger dogs or equipment safely Highschool diploma Grooming school preferred but not required Part of the interview process will be preforming a groom on one of our pets.
