Professional Pet Groomer

Our privately owned small animal veterinary hospital plus boarding, grooming, and dog daycare facility is looking to add a new groomer to our team with a passion for providing top-quality 'salon services' for our clients and their 4-legged family members. Would be responsible for own tools and maintenance. We provide personal grooming area, bathing & drying supplies plus a fabulous new facility to work in alongside great coworkers!

RESPONSIBILITIES

: All grooming services including but not limited to de-shedding, haircuts/ trims/ styles, hand scissoring Bathing groom pets to include ear cleaning, anal gland expression, and nail trims Handle pets safely and with compassion during all aspects of grooming session and stay in our facility, ensuring safety and comfort at all times Maintain clean and sanitary groom room, workstation, and bathing areas Manage your own schedule (M-F) and collaborate with other employees to coordinate appointments, respond to client inquires, check in/out pets, and provide excellent customer service Communicating clearly and respectfully with clients and make recommendations for pets based on breed standards and coats Stay current on grooming trends, techniques, and industry standards for skills and knowledge Be able to have open communication and respect with coworkers

REQUIREMENTS

Proof of professional grooming experience, with references and photos Knowledge and proficiency in a variety of all dog breed standard grooms and breed-specific techniques Excellent communication and intrapersonal skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness & hygiene Certification or training from a recognized grooming school/ program is preferred but not required.
