Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Attendant/Bather to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing excellent service to both pets and their owners. As a Kennel Attendant/Bather, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the animals in our care while maintaining a clean and organized environment. Must be at least 18 Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising dogs Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces by performing regular cleaning tasks. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the management. Giving Exit Baths and nail trims to dogs checking out from boarding and bathing dogs for grooming appointments Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and care instructions. Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with larger animals. Ensure that all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for both animals and staff. Experience Previous experience in a kennel, veterinary setting, etc is required. Familiarity with animal care practices, including dog handling and animal restraint techniques. Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners and provide them with information about their pets' care. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed in the course of daily duties. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential for success in this role.
