Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Dog Bather, where your passion for animal care and grooming will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional bathing and grooming services to ensure each dog looks and feels their best. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for pets and their owners alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in pet grooming, animal handling, and customer service within a lively, pet-focused environment. Duties Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments using proper restraint techniques Perform thorough bathing, drying, brushing, and grooming to meet each pet's specific needs Assess each dog's coat, skin, ears, teeth, and nails to identify any health concerns or abnormalities Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming area, including tools and equipment Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences and after-care instructions Assist with pet handling during check-in and check-out processes at the front desk Support additional animal care tasks such as kennel cleaning or light pet sitting when needed Requirements Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work safely with dogs of various temperaments Experience with veterinary assisting or veterinary technician work is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs or equipment) Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients and their pets Passion for animal care with a proactive attitude toward pet health and safety This role is perfect for someone eager to grow their expertise in pet grooming, animal care, and customer engagement.
