Job Description
Overview Come join our team at Snippy Clips! we are a team that always works together to get whatever is needed done. We prioritize the safety and health of the dogs first, and we are not scared to get down and dirty to give people clean and happy pups! our salon is fully booked and we'd love to grow our business to keep our fur clients on routine visits! Responsibilities Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs, bathers are there bright and early so when you come in to groom, the dog is clean and ready for a cut to give you a head start. Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each pet's health and behavior, alerting owners to any concerns such as skin issues or signs of illness Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in excellent condition Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming preferences, aftercare instructions, and pet health observations Support other team members with animal handling, pet sitting, or kennel duties as needed to promote overall animal care and facility operations Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming, with knowledge of breed-specific cuts and styling techniques Strong animal handling skills, including dog training, animal restraint, and general pet care knowledge Familiarity with pet grooming tools, equipment maintenance, and sanitation protocols Ability to lift heavy objects safely (heavy lifting) when handling large dogs or equipment Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Prior kennel experience or animal handling background is a plus Willingness to learn new skills related to animal care and grooming standards.
