Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Groomer to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering top-quality grooming services that keep our furry clients looking and feeling their best. Your expertise in animal handling, pet grooming, and animal care will help ensure every pet receives personalized attention in a safe and loving setting. Duties Perform pet grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping with precision and care Handle dogs and other small animals safely using proper restraint techniques Assess each pet's coat, skin, and overall health to recommend appropriate grooming treatments Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sterilized after use Assist with dog training sessions or behavioral assessments as needed to support overall pet well-being Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions Support veterinary technicians or assistants with animal handling or restraint during grooming procedures when necessary Experience Prior experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care is highly preferred Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus Familiarity with dog training techniques and veterinary assistant skills enhances your ability to care for pets comprehensively Experience working with animals such as dogs, cats, or equines demonstrates versatility in animal handling Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist with larger animals or equipment Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with pet owners and team members Previous kennel experience or pet sitting background is advantageous for understanding various animal behaviors Join us at West Hollywood Doggy Daycare where your passion for animals meets a supportive environment dedicated to excellence in pet care!
