Responsibilities Perform pet grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and finishing touches tailored to each pet's breed and individual needs Handle animals with care and confidence, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff Maintain a clean, organized grooming area by sanitizing tools and equipment regularly Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide expert advice on pet care and maintenance Recognize signs of health issues or discomfort during grooming sessions and escalate concerns appropriately Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring animals are comfortable and stress-free throughout the process Support team members with additional pet care duties such as kennel cleaning or light veterinary assistance when needed Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming, dog training, or animal handling; veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly valued Strong knowledge of dog handling techniques, animal restraint, and pet care best practices Familiarity with veterinary procedures or veterinary experience is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely (heavy lifting) when handling large or heavy pets or equipment Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is advantageous Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform detailed grooming tasks for extended periods Join us as a Pet Stylist where your enthusiasm for animals fuels your daily work!
