Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards or customer preferences Assess each dog's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming techniques appropriately Handle dogs safely and compassionately using proper animal restraint and handling techniques Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, recommendations, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, basic veterinary procedures, or administering medication if required Support team members with animal handling during grooming sessions and ensure a calm environment for pets Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styles Knowledge of dog training principles and dog handling techniques to ensure safety and comfort Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles is highly desirable for understanding animal health needs Experience with animal restraint, pet sitting, or kennel work demonstrates excellent animal handling skills Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as tubs or large dogs safely and efficiently Strong customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and address their concerns Familiarity with pet grooming tools, pet care procedures, and basic animal first aid practices is preferred Join us to turn your passion for animals into a rewarding career where every day brings new opportunities to improve the lives of pets!
