Duties Safely handle dogs and other small animals during bathing, grooming, and drying processes using proper restraint techniques. Perform pet grooming tasks including bathing, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and hair trimming to meet each pet's specific needs. Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior during grooming sessions. Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor pets throughout the grooming process for signs of distress or health issues and communicate concerns promptly. Provide excellent customer service by answering client questions and updating pet owners on their pet's grooming progress. Support veterinary staff with basic animal handling or care tasks as needed, leveraging veterinary experience or veterinary technician background. Requirements Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred. Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus. Ability to handle dogs confidently and safely using appropriate restraint methods. Experience working with animals in veterinary clinics, kennels, or pet sitting environments is desirable. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during grooming sessions. Strong communication skills with a friendly approach to customer service.
