Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Pet Groomer to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will deliver top-quality grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our beloved pets. Your expertise will ensure each pet receives personalized care in a safe, friendly environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your grooming skills with animal handling and customer service, creating a positive experience for pets and their owners alike. Responsibilities Provide professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping for dogs. Care for boarded dogs when needed. Answering phone calls to book appointments and checking in and out customers as needed, requiring basic math skills for the cash register and credit card machine. Tending to kennels and cleaning after dog accidents when needed. Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety through proper restraint and handling techniques. Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming procedures accordingly. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including sanitation of tools and workspaces. Communicate effectively with pet owners to discuss grooming preferences, special needs, or health concerns. Support team members with additional animal handling duties such as kennel cleaning or pet handling when required. Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of breed standards and styling techniques. Knowledge of animal handling practices. Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint methods; experience with heavy lifting is beneficial. Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their needs effectively. Familiarity with pet care routines including pet sitting and general animal care practices.
