Start Your Career in Professional Pet Grooming Siskiyou Pet Care is seeking a motivated and dependable Dog Stylist/Groomer Assistant to join our growing grooming team. This position is ideal for individuals who love working with dogs and are interested in building a long-term career in the professional pet grooming industry. As a Groomer Assistant, you will work alongside experienced Dog Stylists while developing valuable skills in animal handling, bathing, coat preparation, client communication, safety protocols, and salon operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn a skilled profession and grow within a respected pet care organization. What You'll Do Bathe, dry, brush, and prepare dogs for grooming services Assist groomers with safe and humane handling practices Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, de-shedding services, and other grooming preparation tasks as trained Support client check-in and check-out processes Maintain detailed records and grooming notes Help maintain a clean, safe, and professional grooming environment Work closely with experienced groomers while learning industry best practices What We're Looking For Reliability and strong attendance Professional communication skills A positive attitude and willingness to learn Comfort working with dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments Attention to detail and commitment to quality work Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment Weekend availability as part of a rotating schedule Why Join Siskiyou Pet Care?
