Full Job Description Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Barn Manager/Groom to join our team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about equine care and management, with a strong focus on nutrition, health, and overall horse well-being. Housing is available.

Key Responsibilities:

Grain and Nutrition Management:

Oversee feeding schedules and ensure proper nutrition tailored to individual horse needs.

Horse Handling:

Safely handle and care for horses in various settings.

Herd Management:

Monitor and manage the health and behavior of the herd.

Grooming:

Provide thorough grooming, including bathing and coat care.

Tacking:

Prepare horses for riding by properly tacking up.

Clipping:

Maintain horses' coats with regular clipping as needed.

Injections:

Administer intramuscular (IM) and intravenous (IV) shots as required.

Wrapping:

Apply wraps for injury prevention and support.

Wound Care:

Provide basic first aid and wound care for horses.

Therapy Equipment Management:

Manage and utilize therapy equipment to enhance horse health.

Riding:

Some riding opportunities are available for the right candidate but are not a requirement for the position.

Qualifications:

Experience in equine management and care. Strong understanding of horse behavior and health. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills.

Pay:

From $25.00 per hour
