Groomers play an essential role in our mission — building lasting relationships with clients and ensuring every pet looks and feels their best. This position is ideal for an experienced groomer or an animal lover eager to learn and grow in a professional environment. Objectives of This Role Provide exceptional customer service by understanding and fulfilling owner requests with professionalism and care. Deliver gentle, high-quality grooming and cosmetic services to pets, maintaining patience and compassion at all times. Communicate openly with pet owners about their pet's condition, alerting them to any potential health concerns such as skin issues, ear infections, or parasites. Contribute to our hospital's growth by fostering positive client relationships that encourage loyalty and repeat visits. Key Responsibilities Bathe, shampoo, and condition pets to keep their coats clean and healthy. Trim, shave, and style fur according to breed standards or owner preferences. Maintain pet hygiene by trimming nails, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears. Keep the grooming area clean and organized throughout the day, ensuring proper sanitation before and after each appointment. Offer pet owners helpful at-home care tips to support ongoing health and comfort. Required Skills & Qualifications Genuine love and compassion for animals Comfort working with pets of all temperaments, including anxious or reactive ones Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift animals weighing 50+ lbs Eagerness to learn and apply new techniques Strong communication skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Prior grooming experience (professional or volunteer) Customer service experience Formal grooming certification (e.g., NDGAA) is a plus
