Pet Groomer

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our mobile grooming team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming experiences for both pets and their owners. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's grooming needs, behavior, and any observed health issues. Handle pets safely and compassionately, using proper restraint techniques when necessary. Provide additional services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing as requested by pet owners. Assist with pet sitting or dog training as needed, ensuring each animal receives the best care possible. Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred. Skills in heavy lifting may be required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets. Familiarity with veterinary practices or having worked as a veterinary assistant can be beneficial. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques is essential for safely managing pets during grooming sessions. Experience with equine care or kennel management is also advantageous.
