Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support for the animals in our facility. Duties:

• Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel
• Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
• Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
• Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
• Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing
• Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to the veterinary team
• Assist with animal restraint during examinations or procedures
• Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatments

Requirements:

• Previous experience in animal handling or related field preferred
• Knowledge of basic animal care and behavior
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed
