Responsibilities Assist senior groomers with bathing, drying, and basic grooming tasks for dogs and other pets Safely handle animals during bathing and grooming procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety Support the grooming team by preparing grooming tools and cleaning work areas regularly Learn proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safe and stress-free grooming sessions Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to sanitation standards Observe and assist with pet care routines, including feeding, walking, and general animal handling Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners and addressing their needs Qualifications Genuine love for animals and eagerness to learn about pet grooming and care Prior experience with dog training, veterinary assistance, or animal handling is a plus but not required Strong interest in developing skills related to pet grooming, dog handling, and animal restraint Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods Excellent communication skills with both team members and pet owners Reliable, detail-oriented, with a positive attitude and willingness to follow instructions This paid trainee position is designed to provide comprehensive training in pet grooming while fostering your growth within the animal care industry.
