Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Pet Groomer, where your passion for animals and expert grooming skills will shine! In this energetic role, you will provide top-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring they look and feel their best while maintaining their comfort and safety. Your enthusiasm for animal care combined with your grooming expertise will create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in pet grooming, animal handling, and customer service in a lively, supportive environment. Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing to meet each pet's specific needs and owner preferences Handle animals with care, using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming procedures Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including equipment sterilization and proper disposal of waste Assess each pet's health and behavior, alerting veterinary staff or pet owners to any concerns or abnormalities Assist with pet handling and training as needed to ensure cooperative behavior during grooming sessions Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming options, aftercare instructions, and appointment scheduling Support veterinary technicians or assistants with animal handling or restraint tasks when necessary Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming or related animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant, kennel work, or pet sitting Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of dog training, animal restraint, and pet care best practices Familiarity with veterinary procedures and experience working with animals in veterinary settings is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as large dogs or equipment safely and efficiently Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters trust and satisfaction Knowledge of animal behavior and the ability to manage diverse temperaments effectively Prior experience with dog handling, veterinary experience, equine experience or other animal handling roles is advantageous Join us to make a difference in pets' lives through expert grooming and compassionate care!
