Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Kennel and Daycare Attendant, where your passion for animals and dedication to exceptional pet care will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, clean, and loving environment for pets in our kennel and daycare facilities. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure each pet receives the highest quality care, from feeding and grooming to exercise and socialization. Whether assisting with training, handling animals, or maintaining facility standards, your proactive approach will make a positive impact every day. Duties Provide attentive pet care including feeding, administering medications, and monitoring health status. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and ensure their comfort and safety at all times. Engage pets in play, exercise, and socialization activities to promote mental stimulation and physical health. Assist with dog training sessions and reinforce positive behaviors through gentle guidance. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, grooming stations, and common spaces to uphold hygiene standards. Support veterinary technicians or assistants by preparing animals for examinations or treatments when needed. Greet pet owners warmly, answer questions about pet care services, and provide updates on their pets' well-being. Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to keep animals looking their best. Lift heavy items like bags of pet food or supplies safely while adhering to proper lifting techniques. Document daily activities, animal behaviors, and any incidents accurately in records for ongoing care. Qualifications Prior experience in kennel work, pet sitting, or animal handling is highly preferred. Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a strong plus. Experience with veterinary assistant tasks or veterinary technician work is advantageous. Skilled in animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Ability to perform pet grooming tasks with attention to detail and care. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing, walking, and bending throughout shifts. Familiarity with animal care standards and safety protocols in a kennel or daycare setting.
