Job Overview $18 - $22 per hour plus 100% of tips
Part-time:
24 - 30 hours per week Saturdays required Junior Stylist with own schedule & table 5-6 dogs a day consisting of baths, de-sheds & natural coated trim ups Great opportunity available! Are you currently a bather looking to take the next step in the grooming industry? Or are you an experienced finish groomer who prefers to only work with shedding breeds and outline scissor trims. We are looking to add a part time junior groomer to our team! This is not a bathing/assistant position, you will have your own schedule with 5-6 dogs a day consisting of a combo of de-sheds and natural coated trim ups, along with nail trims and end of day cleaning. Spacious, clean, well managed, multi room, low stress salon. Private outdoor potty yard. Well maintained equipment with electric, adjustable height tubs . Full time receptionist and a friendly, educated, highly skilled staff. Must have professional bathing/assistant experience or graduated a hands on certificate school. Scissoring experience prefered. Must be available to work Saturdays Responsibilities Greet your clients at appointment time go over individual needs and expectations Handle dogs safely, respectfully and empathetically using proper animal restraint and handling methods to ensure comfort and safety Maintain cleanliness of grooming station, tools, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards Provide excellent pet care by monitoring dogs' behavior during grooming sessions and addressing their needs Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, animal handling, and grooming procedures Perform all grooming tasks to completion in a professional and timely manner Perform cleaning, sanitation and organization of salon during downtime Complete daily nail trim list of daycare dogs Input daily notes and pricing in computer Skills Passion for dogs with a focus on low stress, empathetic, respectful handling Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage different temperaments confidently Knowledge of basic dog grooming practices Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs Experience bathing, velocity drying, ear cleaning, de-shedding, de-matting, sanitary trims, paw pad shaves, nail trimming and filing Excellent time management skills Ability to remain calm under pressure Able to work independently as well as a team player Attention to detail
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
