In this role, you will be responsible for the care and supervision of dogs in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness throughout the day. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in animal care or handling. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with dogs in a safe and playful environment. Ensure all dogs are properly fed, hydrated, and exercised according to their individual needs. Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including kennels, play areas, and equipment. Monitor dog behavior and health, reporting any concerns to management. Assist with basic training exercises and reinforce positive behaviors. Provide comfort and care to dogs during their stay, including grooming as needed. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and activities throughout the day. Requirements Previous experience as a veterinary assistant, veterinary technician, or in a kennel environment is preferred. Strong skills in animal handling and restraint techniques. Knowledge of dog behavior and training methods is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for the role. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with both dogs and their owners. A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care.
