About Us Platinum Paws Pet Services is a locally owned, professional dog walking and pet-sitting company serving Washington County, Maryland, and Greencastle, Pennsylvania. We take pride in offering compassionate, dependable care for pets and providing excellent service to our human clients. We're growing — and looking for responsible, animal-loving individuals to join our employee-based team. Position Summary We're hiring dog walkers and pet sitters to care for pets in their own homes, providing daily walks, drop-in visits, and vacation care. This is a perfect opportunity for animal lovers looking for meaningful, flexible part-time work. Key Responsibilities Walk dogs safely and responsibly on leash in all weather conditions Provide feeding, litter cleaning, medication, and basic pet care for dogs, cats, and small animals Visit pets at their homes on a regular, consistent schedule Communicate with clients via our app with visit notes and photos Monitor pets' behavior and well-being, and report any concerns Represent Platinum Paws with professionalism and kindness Schedule & Availability Part-time employee position Must be available at least 3-5 weekdays (typically 10 AM-4 PM) Weekend, early morning, and evening pet sits are available for additional hours Holidays are a plus (with bonus pay) Requirements Genuine love for animals and comfort around all breeds and sizes 18+ years old with GED or High School Diploma Live in or near Washington County, Have a reliable, insured vehicle and a valid driver's license Smartphone with internet access and a camera Ability to pass a background check Able to walk 1-5 miles per day Excellent communication, reliability, and time management Preferred Qualifications Experience with pet care, dog walking, or animal handling Knowledge of basic pet first aid or willing to be trained Comfortable walking and driving in all weather conditions Why Join Platinum Paws?
