Pet Bather

Pet Bather Fluff N' Suds Pet Salon Dog bathing position requires an enthusiastic, patient approach to dealing with the pets; ability to learn and adhere to the shop's standards and procedures; humane treatment of the animals at all time is required; must learn and develop skills necessary to effectively and efficiently bathe and finish pets. The position is physically demanding and requires the ability to be exposed to water, soaps, and blowing air and hair for extended periods of time; must be able to stand for entire work day and have the ability to lift 50 pounds. Will also include assisting the stylists. Jobs also includes kennel cleaner duties which include but are not limited to: keeping cages clean and sanitized; walking and picking up after the animals; vacuuming; cleaning grooming tubs & tools; washing floor mats; laundry. Also includes cleaning of grooming station areas, emptying trash, mopping of floors and keeping all areas organized.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to water and soaps; Ability to stand for extended periods of time; Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to dog and cat hair; Ability to bend, lift, and reach.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE

Confidence and experience with dogs; Ability to write sufficiently to fill out groom notes and make out invoices on computer. Must be service oriented and show great attention to detail. An abundance of patience and a love of animals is required. Must be a team player as our salon works as a team.

Part Time:

Up to 32 hours/week - Starting wage: $13.50 for the first 90 days or until training is complete. •

REQUIRED

• Hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Wednesday through Saturday.
