Job Overview Join our dynamic pet care team as a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter, where your passion for animals and energetic personality will shine! In this role, you'll provide exceptional care and companionship to dogs and other pets, ensuring their safety, happiness, and well-being. You'll be the trusted caregiver for pets while their owners are away, offering walks, playtime, feeding, and basic training. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors and make a positive impact on pets' lives every day. Responsibilities Take dogs on enjoyable walks, ensuring they get adequate exercise and mental stimulation. Provide pet sitting services that include feeding, administering medication if needed, and maintaining daily routines. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills. Monitor pets' behavior and health, reporting any concerns or veterinary issues to owners or veterinary professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for pets by cleaning up after them and ensuring their living areas are well-maintained. Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing when required. Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' activities, behaviors, and any special needs or instructions. Skills Experience in dog training and handling to manage various temperaments confidently. Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable for understanding animal health needs. Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely during walks or grooming. Knowledge of pet care practices including feeding, medication administration, and basic first aid. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist with pet transport or equipment setup. Excellent customer service skills to build trusting relationships with pet owners. Familiarity with kennel experience or pet sitting services enhances your ability to provide comprehensive care. Pay:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour
