The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that enhance their appearance and comfort. Duties Perform grooming services including full grooming (start-finish), bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming techniques and products. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Handle animals with care, using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both the pet and the groomer. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any observations related to their health or behavior. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Assist in the care of animals in the facility, including feeding, exercising, and monitoring their overall well-being. Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is required; willingness to learn is essential. Fully trained dog groomer able to start-finish haircuts by yourself. Knowledge of animal handling techniques, including restraint methods for various species. Familiarity with heavy lifting and physical demands associated with handling larger breeds or multiple pets at once. A background in animal care or equine management can be beneficial.
