Job Overview Join our team as a Kennel Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for our furry friends! In this energetic role, you will support daily kennel operations, ensure the well-being of animals, and assist with a variety of pet care activities. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a safe, clean, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. Duties Assist with daily monitoring to ensure health and safety standards are met Provide gentle dog handling, including feeding, walking, and socializing to promote positive behavior and comfort Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and cleaning to maintain hygiene and appearance Maintain clean kennels and surrounding areas by disinfecting cages, sweeping, mopping, and organizing supplies Help with pet sitting duties by providing companionship and basic care for animals in the facility Maintain an enrichment schedule for assigned animals as part of their daily needs. Experience Previous kennel or animal care experience is preferred but not necessary to apply; familiarity with pet handling techniques is a plus Experience in positive reinforcement dog training techniques or behavioral management is advantageous Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is beneficial for understanding medical procedures and animal restraint Background in pet grooming or pet sitting demonstrates a strong commitment to animal well-being Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling supplies or moving animals We are dedicated to supporting your growth in the pet care industry while fostering a positive environment for both staff and animals.
